Bùth Bharraigh
is a community social enterprise that provides a route to market for local producers and also supply goods and services that otherwise would not be available for local and visiting customers.
The shop offers local home baking, homemade vegetarian meals, crafts, gifts and produce including fish. It also brings in a wide range of wholefoods, yarn and craft supplies, books (English and Gaelic), fishing and surfing accessories.
We also supply free unlimited WiFi, tea & coffee, laundry facilities and Bike Hire through Barra Bike Hire
Bùth Bharraigh now also delivers Visitor Information for the islands of Barra and Vatersay. Trained staff are able to help with your enquiries.
The Co-op
This supermarket is located a bit further out of Castlebay in the direction of Scalpay. It has Food and drink, a bakery. TOTUM card accepted Young Scot card accepted PayPoint National Lottery Health Lottery. Open until 10pm (normally)

is located close to the start of the Hebridean Way Cycle Route. Open Mon -Fri 9am - 2pm Sat 9-12.30. Sunday closed Tel: 0345 611 2970
